Ruth Bader Ginsburg was born on March 15, 1933. Lawyers and academics have dubbed her the "The Thurgood Marshall of Women's Rights". She is the 2nd female justice on the Supreme Court after Sandra Day O'Connor. RBG attended Harvard Law School in the 1950s and founded the Women's Rights Project at the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) in 1972. RBG was appointed to the Supreme Court on August 10, 1993. She was named by Forbes in 2009 one of the 100 Most Powerful Women, named Woman of the Year by Glamour magazine in 2012, and named by Time as a Top 100 Icon.
